Hooray....Sunday again!! We celebrated our "heroes of the faith" today at church.....missionaries!
Ahhh...."life for your soul". When I think of a missionary, I definitely think of a messenger who delivers the most important message that a person will ever hear...the gospel of Jesus Christ! That is definitely "life for your soul"!
I'm always amazed at the selflessness of a missionary and their family. They are willing to leave their home, family, jobs, schools, medical security, and often times their country to travel a path that the Lord has placed on their heart. They step out of their comfort zone and onto a road that is filled with unknowns and little worldly security to try to fulfill the great commission. What an incredible leap of faith to jump into such an assignment.
I am so thankful for the heart of a missionary. I want to be more consistent in my prayers for them, starting right now! Praying today that the Lord will guard and protect each and every missionary that has given their life to be sure that everyone has a chance to be presented with the truth of God's love and the saving grace of His son.
