Proverbs 3:6 (MSG)
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
He's the one who will keep you on track.
Shhhh.....can you hear Him??
When I truly stop and pay attention......and hold my chattering tongue for any length of time, I can hear His voice. He is clearly speaking in the silence of a sunrise; in the laughter of children; in the chirp of a bird; in the notes of the piano; in the crying of a new born baby; in the gentle voice of the elderly; in the clap of thunder; in the words of a preacher; in the crash of the waves onto the shore; in the splattering of rain on the window; in the sweet song of an innocent child; in the quiet of the softly falling snow; in the crackling of a warm fire; in the whisper of the trees as the wind blows through the branches; in the encouraging comments of a friend; and in the whisper of a prayer. I'm praying for an increased sensitivity to God's voice, so that I might hear Him more clearly.
