Oh boy...as a parent, there is one thing that can really try my patience.

My dryer quit working yesterday.  Who knew a person could be so dependent on a dryer?  Ridiculous!! 

Ready to Learn

I remember trying to feed my son his first bites of baby food.  As I would hold the spoonful of mush up to his lips, he would push out his tongue and smear the food all over his face. 

Open Your Eyes

In the middle of the traffic she takes her stand.  At the busiest corner she calls out.

Wisdom is easy to find....when you're looking.

Burglary

Nobody robs a bank with everyone watching.

I suppose they don't.....but I get the feeling we might be finding out that our "bad companions" do...rob a bank with people watching that is.  Why?  Why would they do this?  For attention?  Because they just don't have any common sense?  Greedy?  Hmmmm....

A Very Good End

They're racing to a very bad end, hurrying to ruin everything they lay hands on.

Remember that the "bad companions" are talking in this verse.  The "bad companions" represent sinners, who have chosen to ignore the call of Christ.  With that in mind, I read today's verse and one thing is shouting at me....people don't want to be alone in their sin, so watch out!! 

Don't Load the Loot

How timely this verse is seeing that it is the last Saturday before Christmas! 

Don't Pick

Let's pick them clean and get them ready for their funerals.

The "bad companions" are talking here, and they want you to join them in their destruction!!

I enjoy watching the show, "What Not to Wear".  It gives me a little direction for what clothes I should definitely not be wearing to appear that I have some fashion sense!

Heed Wise Counsel

Interestingly enough, I love a beautiful ring.  I like my rings to be quietly beautiful....not loud and obnoxious. 

Listen Up

Pay close attention, friend, to what your father tells you;  never forget what you learned at your mother's knee.

I'm pretty sure there have been entire books written on this one sentence.  Powerful stuff!

Start With God

I remember my first day of college as though it were yesterday.  I walked into the student lounge while talking with a friend and completely missed the first two steps down into the lobby!  Yeap...I walked right off them.  I fell flat on my face!!

There is something exciting about the word "fresh".  It brings with it the vision of something newly created.
